Why donate money to MATURA?
We help individuals and families put food on the table, keep the lights on, and work toward improving their lives -- all of which help our communities become stronger. We have programs/services that can help before a baby even takes their first breath up to a person's final years.
Our 50+ years of experience have allowed us to build strong partnerships and understand the issues that lower-income households face. We're a hand up!

Adair, Adams, Madison, Ringgold, Taylor, and Union County are among our core counties. We serve even more of Southern Iowa through our WIC/Child, Adolescent, Health programs, which extend beyond our core counties.

You can earmark your financial contribution for a specific MATURA county you want it used it in: Adair, Adams, Madison, Ringgold, Taylor, or Union County.

Other Ways to Donate to MATURA

Food donations
Each of our core counties house a food pantry within our local outreach centers. Consider donating an extra bag of groceries, or host a food drive. Local households can visit the food pantry in the county they reside in every 30 days. This goes with our mission of helping people & families become self-sufficient.

We realize that circumstances can change in a hurry and work with them to ensure they don't go without food.

Clothing/Household Items
Our outreach centers in Bedford, Corning, Greenfield, Mount Ayr, and Winterset each house a thrift store to help meet basic needs of the people and families we serve as well as the community.

Visit our Find Us page for contact information and hours open.
Please do not drop donations off when centers are closed.

Volunteering
Our outreach center directors rely on people who are willing to volunteer to help them keep the thrift stores operate and/or put food boxes together.

If you are interested in helping out, please contact the outreach center to see if they are in need of volunteers.
