MATURA Action Corporation has a new logo, thanks to Taylor Powers, a student at Southwestern Community College (SWCC) and Linda Dainty, art & design instructor at SWCC. MATURA contacted Linda Dainty in November to see if she had students who would be interested in helping us come up with a new logo.

MATURA's Madison County Multi-Purpose Center
The Multi-Purpose Center has been helping the community since 1969, with many programs including LIHEAP (low income heating assistance), applications for WIC (women, infant and children), crisis assistance, and senior chore service program. We also have several programs that the community helps with such as Adopt-a-Family at Thanksgiving. It started 19 years ago with The Madisonian and our center working together to provide a meal for the families on Thanksgiving Day.
We are the local Food Pantry. We work to provide food to those in need. Within our building we have a thrift store. We sell good used clothing and knick knacks for a low price.
At Christmas we do Operation Santa Claus which helps our families with food, clothing certificates, and toys for the children. The Pork Producers donate hams and Rose Acres donate eggs. The Lions Club donates clothing certificates for the children. The Center also works with Parks and Rec for seasonal pool passes and scholarships for soccer and softball programs. A new program was started two years ago with the local veterinarians and the community: a pet food program for cat and dog food.
MATURA's Headstart is in the north end of our building, providing early childhood education and development.
Our center relies heavily on volunteers to help us run the center and the programs we provide. The Multi-Purpose Center is located north of Witnerset on Hwy 169. Our hours are Monday thru Friday8:00 to 4:30. We can be reached by phone at 515-462-4704 or email us at: email@example.com
